David Wallinder

David Wallinder is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FunRock. David is an entrepreneur who founded FunRock with the idea that all games should be free to play, localized to players’ own languages and be multiplayer.

Despite his young age, Wallinder is already a F2P veteran, with more than 10 years in the industry. At the age of 16, he developed and released one of Sweden’s first hit web games – MusicManager. The game soon attracted a large part of Sweden’s youths, and was one of the earliest localized free-to-play games on the web. A time where most people believed that web browsers as a gaming platform would not equal great entertainment.

Since founding FunRock in 2007, David has helped lead the company’s growth and mobile strategy, and oversees the operations including product development, marketing, finance, strategy and more.

David received an MBA from Stockholm University.
