Fragbite Group AB’s (publ) (“Fragbite Group”) subsidiary Playdigious will be releasing mobile title Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee on the Chinese market on January 25th 2024. Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee was released in 2021 on iOS and Android.
Dungeon of the Endless is a roguelike game developed by Amplitude Studios, first released on PC in 2013 and on mobile in 2015. In 2021, Playdigious adapted and published an updated mobile version called Dungeon of The Endless: Apogee. The game was initially planned for a Chinese release at the end of the fourth quarter 2023, release date has now been confirmed for January 25th 2024.
“This is the fourth game we bring to the Chinese market, and I am very pleased that we have gotten approval to release another title. Expanding the distribution to new platforms and geographic markets is a key part of the Playdigious strategy, as it enables the games a longer commercial lifespan. Each title is different, and we consistently work on fine-tuning our distribution strategy to fit the individual audience. I think that Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee is a good fit for the Chinese market and look forward to seeing how it will be received by players,” says Abrial Da Costa, CEO, Playdigious.
Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee will be released in China in partnership with Emay Games. Releasing games in China is proceeded by an application process which typically takes at least a year, the time frame varies on a case-to-case basis. Playdigious has previously released Evoland II and Dead Cells on the Chinese market after granted approval. Applications for additional titles are pending.
